1. MediaFerry now supports multiple ad insertions/placements*

For publishing customers, MediaFerry can record multiple insertions now. The insertions are available inside a new tab labelled "Publication/Placement" in View/Edit window. Users will be able to add/see multiple run dates, publications and placements in this tab.MediaFerry-multiple-insertions

2. MediaFerry is now integrated with Brand Metrics*

MediaFerry now supports integration with Brand Metrics. This is only available for the clients who work on Brand Metrics portal and already have an account in their portal. When this integration is enabled, MediaFerry's End of Campaign reports for digital campaigns will include a new section which reflects actionable insights from Brand Metrics.

3. Updates in Google Ad Manager integrations

  • Mediaferry supports Google Ad Manager migration - MediaFerry will support customers to migrate from the old GAM network to the new GAM network. This support primarily includes pushing jobs to the new network and pulling data from both the networks to generate End of Campaign reports.

  • Reuse existing Audience Segments - Since there is a limit on first-party audience segments that can be created in Google Ad Manager, so once the limit is reached, MediaFerry can use the non-active Audience Segment(s) with size zero(0) for new projects.

  • Google Ad Manager API has been updated to version v201911.

1. Ability to send Proof Emails to Sales Assistants*

MediaFerry can be configured to send Proof emails to Sales assistants as well. Proof email notifications were usually sent to the project owner or to a pre-defined group of emails. However, in case of unavailability of the Project owner or incorrect email addresses, MediaFerry can now send Proof notification emails to Sales assistants too.

2. Ability to see Pagination FTP location*

MediaFerry can now show Pagination FTP location in activity logs. MediaFerry can be configured to show the path of final proof uploaded on FTP server within Activity feed along with other details i.e. date and time when the job was released to pagination.

3. Pagination support for Legal Display Ads*

MediaFerry now supports pagination of Legal Display Ads - Mediaferry will release the approved PDFs to an additional location labelled as "PDFRepository" if the predefined conditions match for legal display ads.

4. Billing spooler updates*

Below is a list of improvements in MediaFerry billing spooler:

  1. Billing spooler can now receive quote ads and exclude pre-print jobs.

  2. Billing spooler has been updated to pick up jobs from Archive status as well.

  3. New Camera Ready Spooler/Trigger: A new production status has been created “For Camera Ready“. The spooler will check if the job is in this production status, pick up the latest jobnumber.pdf from the finished artwork tab and place it in the camera-ready preflight queue.

    • If the job is full-color then it will place the job into the camera-ready color queue, and if the job is black and white, it will place the job into the camera-ready black and white queue. No size mismatch to be checked for these jobs.

    • As soon as the PDF is sent for preflight, the job’s status will be changed to Preflight. If the job passes the preflight check, then it will directly go into Pre Release and then it will be released. If this job fails preflight check or is timed out, then appropriate error message with labels will be displayed to the user. If the user wants to send the job again to preflight then he/she needs to change the job status to “For Camera Ready“.

    • In both color and b/w jobs, the transparency will be flattened.

1. Miscellaneous Bug Fixes*

Some of the MediaFerry users have reported bugs in the system though these were limited to a few users only and not all MediaFerry users were experiencing the issues. Here is a list of bugs that we've fixed in the MediaFerry system:

  1. Due to the ad-server migration, the links in the copy chase files were showing invalid. This has been fixed now.

  2. In some jobs, if the thumbnail is missing in the job or pdf in the Finished Artworks section, then the view proof option was not available. This has been fixed now.

  3. For some users, uploaded assets were taking a long time to load in the Finished Artwork tab. This has been fixed now.

  4. The status "Incomplete" was being displayed as "In Complete", i.e two words, however, it should be "Incomplete" one word. This has been fixed now.

  5. For some users, MediaFerry filters were not working properly i.e. When a user applies a filter using a combination of statuses and job subtypes, the filtered data were showing other statuses and job subtypes that were not present in the filters. This has been fixed now.
