1. Custom Spooler update*

With the new spooler update, which is specific to a client's custom requirement, the job which is marked as a pickup with change now directly moves to Ready for production status. Earlier, this was moving to correction received (version 1) status, the client wanted to move it to ready for production. The addition of this feature takes care of any change or correction in your workflows or flags however it's a custom update.

Note: This is a custom update for PostMedia only.

2. Addition of New Smart Adunits*

Smart Adunits added in Google Ad Manager 360 for auto ad trafficking. The current line items related to campaign specifications can be directly reported to the Smart AdServer. Now, for ad trafficking purposes, you don’t have to integrate MediaFerry with Smart AdServers as the addition of this feature can take care of it, however, you need to create ad units in Smart Adserver and get them mapped in GAM360.

1. OKTA authentication enabled*

MediaFerry is now safer by enabling OKTA authentication, this is implemented for one of the clients however we are still on Auth0 SSO for the rest of the clients. In case you need OKTA enabled for your specific websites, please reach out.

Difference between Auth0 vs OKTA*

Auth0 and OKTA have certain similarities like single sign-on, identity management, and user governance tools. However, Auth0 provides multi-factor authentication tools which enable organizations to ensure that former teams or staff can no longer access the website or data once they are not part of that system anymore. Whereas, OKTA provides zero-trust networking such as biometric authentication, including fingerprint scanning, facial recognition, or voice authentication.

Zero Trust Networking

Zero Trust Networking assumes a breach with the Zero Trust model. It verifies each request as though it originated from an untrusted network. Zero Trust strategy is based on three principles;

  1. Verify explicitly

  2. Use least privileged access

  3. Assume breach

Before determining access, every access request is fully authenticated, authorized, and encrypted.

2.Actions option is available in all the tabs now

An action button has been added to all the tabs so that a user can perform any action required directly from any tab. You don’t need to go back to the view/edit tab whenever you want to take any actions like check out, change status, etc. Adding to better user experience and efficiency within MediaFerry the functionality is available for all clients.

3.Size alert mechanism for digital assets * *

MediaFerry now offers an alert mechanism to warn in case of assets exceeding the acceptable size limit. You can define the acceptable size limits at the time of MediaFerry setup or change it at a later date depending upon the size required as per the guidelines and never go out of space or bandwidth. In case you haven’t defined it yet, reach out to the team.

Miscellaneous Bug Fixes*

Some of the MediaFerry users have reported bugs in the system, though these were limited to a few users only and not all MediaFerry users were experiencing the issues. Here is a list of bugs that we've fixed in the MediaFerry system:

  1. Proof emails weren't triggering when a designer clicked on route or complete status. This has now been fixed.*

  2. When the text was inserted between <> (angeled brackets) under the metadata instruction tab, MediaFerry was recording the first word of the instruction thus the other part of the instruction was getting lost. This has now been fixed.*
