1. Improvements in MediaFerry Proofing Module

We've updated MediaFerry proofing module to improve the overall user experience during proofing. The details are as follows:

1.1. The sorting order of proof-thumbnails will be the same in both the Finished Artwork tab and the drop-down menu within the proofing module.MediaFerry-Proof-Sort

1.2. Earlier, the dropdown menu does not show which proof is being viewed. This is now updated and the dropdown menu will highlight the proof that is being viewed.MediaFerry-Proof-Sort-2

2. Sorting of files in Finished Artworks and Assets tab

MediaFerry now supports sorting of files in Finished Artwork and Assets tabs. Now user should be able to sort assets by:

  • File name (alphabetically (a-z or z-a)
  • File modified (latest/oldest)
  • File size (higher/lower)

Users should be able to toggle between these options and sort as per their requirements. By default, the assets will be sorted by modified date.

3. Grouping of users in MediaFerry

MediaFerry now supports grouping of multiple users i.e. multiple sales-reps, traffickers, etc. All users of a group will be able to see each others' jobs in MediaFerry Grid View, List View, and SmartReports. Additionally, users will be able to apply group filters and do global searches within the group.

4. Other improvements in MediaFerry

Here's a list of other improvements that we've brought to the MediaFerry platform.

  • In global search, users are now able to change owners of a job. A button labeled "Change Owner" will be present which can be used to change the owner of any job.
  • The Finished Artwork tab now displays thumbnails for the files returned from SmartDesign/SmartCorrect.
  • EoC Reports generated from Simpli.fi and Facebook have been reformatted and redesigned as per clients' requirements.
  • "Assign to Designer" action was not enabled for Assigned status. Now, MediaFerry users can assign jobs to the available designers.
  • MediaFerry file upload API has been updated to newer version to provide better performance and stability during file uploads.
  • With the new file upload API, MediaFerry now allows file uploads using the Inernet Explorer browser.

Fixes - September 2019 Last updated on 09/16/2019

1. Issues with push pin mark-ups

For some users, push pins were appearing on the final pdfs when check-in/check-out was used. This has been fixed now.

2. Issues with filters in MediaFerry grid view

For some users, while saving filters in the grid view of MediaFerry, the system did not save the column information in the database but it saved the information in the cache of the local browser. Due to this, the system was not saving the filters once the user logs out of MediaFerry. This has been fixed now.
